Jason is the health and safety advisor for Miller Argent. He has worked in the coal industry since leaving school and originally started at Cwmbargoed in 1990. Since then Jason has worked on numerous projects in the South Wales coal field including the Nant Helen Extension Opencast Mine and Onllwyn Distribution Centre for Celtic Energy. His roles have varied from site to site from working in the coal laboratory, weighbridge, site office and supervising within the disposal point.
During his time at Nant Helen, Jason started his Health and Safety qualifications and recently graduated from the University of Wales Institute Cardiff with a Masters Degree in Occupational Health and Safety.
He joined the Miller Argent team in July 2008 and as well looking after on site Health and Safety issues, his responsibilities include identifying and sourcing relevant training overseeing the site administration. He has also been involved in the set up of the community mini-bus scheme and the Ffos-y-fran Training Centre.
